My previous note went down well with a lot of readers, thank you all for your response to world peace! A lot of people responded and this made me very hopeful about anime’s future in South Africa.

What I’d like to tell you all this time is that every little thing matters. No, I’m not trying to sound like Mr Miyagi or something. Let me give you an example of what I mean: most people would have never thought that there would be an anime magazine in SA, but here we are. A lot of people also didn’t think that we would ever have an anime channel, and we have Animax. What is more, when Animax started, less than a year ago, people made it known that they prefer anime in Japanese with English subtitles. Now we are proud to announce that Animax will be screening the second season of Black Lagoon in Japanese! Yes friends, we voiced your request and now we are seeing the fruit of it. There is still a way to go, but compared to just 4 years ago, SA has come a long way in the anime world! Who knows what the future may hold? SO if you are passionate about something then make the effort, no matter how trivial it might seem. Who knows how it might end? If there is anything else that you would like to voice, suggest or rant, please e-mail me at meaglin@otakumag.co.za

The next thing I’d like to just mention is this whole thing about listening to music or watching anime that would make you kill people or assault them with a knife or something. There are always many sides to any story, and what the media says cannot be seen as the ultimate truth, ever. Whether it was music or whatever that drives someone to kill someone else, I am sure that there must have been other contributing factors, but for the record, if you see or hear anyone telling you to kill people, please don’t listen to them!

What you can do though is enjoy the latest issue of OTAKU! We have some great titles covered in this issue, some of my favorite anime ever. I am sure that you will enjoy them. A couple of our reviewed titles may be a bit eerie or spooky, and this will go well with Holloween. This is also our birthday issue, WOW it’s been three years! So check out the great comps we have for all of you!

zeroJ: Also is it just me or did you guys get a little carried away with the free poster in this months issue. I have 3 identical posters in my magazine. It was still sealed when I bought it, so nobody tampered with it. Just wondering I think you are just lucky!!

Kazuki \(^_^)/: One thing really got my attention in this months issue. That small piece of info on the new Casshern Sins Anime. I hope it is like the original Casshan TV series that came out in the early 1970's. The pics on the official site look pretty damn good; http://casshern-sins.jp/ And when will we see an article on Guyver BioBoosted Armor ( original OVA or Remake ). NewType Magazine did a cover story on it ages ago and it rocked. I have yet to see this wonderfull anime grace your magazine. Also is it just me or did you guys get a little carried away with the free poster in this months issue. I have 3 identical posters in my magazine.
