Okay, I know the title is serious and it is true next issue will be OTAKU’s last issue and inside the magazine is got the full explanation because every time I mention it is just broken my heart.

Guys thank you for these wonderful 3 years we total love doing it every single day and I hope us as OTAKU magazine might see you in the future with love of anime are all over the land of South Africa.

For the last time please still let us know what you think of this issue.

I doubt the forums will be dying anytime soon and i daresay that we staff arent going to stop loving what we have been writing for you all.... I have no doubt that if another opportunity presents itself we will find a way, but as it stands.. it is the end of the magazine. Anime will not die with us.. it will keep growing and as it does maybe we, maybe someone else will take up the torch that we are passing on.


The Magazine is yet another chapter in the history of Anime and Manga in South Africa. I'm proud to have been a part of it from the very first concept to the end as it seems to be.

It is up to all of you to take the spirit of Otaku amd spread the word... grow the scene.

Wow, that was unexpected....
Its been a great few years though and iv become more of an otaku thanks to the mag
I remember reading the very first issue at the back of a maths class and its strange to think its ending
i guess you guys have your reasons, i expect economics are a major one
It must have been a hard decision and i wish the staff all the bast for the future

When I heard Play the zone the gaming magazine that I think had a few of the otaku staff writing for it had stopped writing I had a feeling it might end up affecting you guys.

Y?! Y!!! Y did u hv to do this to us. I was only able to purchase frm issue 16. It was all great. It was the only thing i lukd 4ward to every two months(ok, besides maybe gud results 4 my Maths tests : ]). It was really great while it lasted. U guys hv achieved a lot 4 us anime lovers. Thank You a lot. I hope u r able to get the mag up nd running agen. Nd good luck 4 the future!!

I didn't expect this man. I can't even begin to explain how much this sucks. Seriously

I have so many questions, so many comments, but all I can say is:

Thank you to the Otaku Magazine Staff, you guys did an absolutely awesome job on the magazine. Every issue was totally mind blowing and just enough to barely feed the hunger for 8 weeks

I wish the Staff of Otaku the best for the future, you guys (and girls) will always be known as the Pioneers and true Legends of the industry. You rock

No words can express the way i am feeling about loosing the treasure which is known as the Otaku Mag.
You guys are the best, i was only introduced to the information filled pages and now i will have to say bye
